Stevens
Gas Service Inc. was started by Matthew (Matt) Stevens and
his wife Sally in January 1978 when they purchased Mortons
Gas in Burlington, Vermont, a cylinder exchange business.
In 1980 they purchased their first bulk truck and started
hiring employees.
Stevens Gas Service has always been a family business. Now,
25 years later, we have 18 full-time and part-time employees.
The staff includes two sons Rick and Michael.

We
have moved three times in the last 25 years. With our last move
(August 1991), we settled into a very customer-friendly facility
with a 1,600-square-foot showroom to display propane appliances
and products. Also included on the grounds are a repair shop,
classroom for staff training and warehouse. Outside is a spacious
yard big enough to make RV servicing a breeze. In 2002 Matt
added his fifth bulk truck to the fleet.
Stevens Gas Service caters to some 8,000 customers in the Northwestern
quarter of Vermont. |
