If you have found a cold spot in your home, you might want to consider
the space heaters available at Stevens Gas Service.
It seems that few homes, no matter what heating system is in operation,
have all living-working areas sufficiently heated -- that is, without
overheating the rest of the house and unnecessarily driving fuel-bills
through the roof.
Our products run from 10,000 to 75,000 BTU’s with direct
and chimney venting and millivolt controls to operate when the
power is interrupted.

While high efficiency units are more expensive
to purchase than standard units, the price difference is offset relatively
soon because of their more efficient use of fuel.
High efficiency heaters are space heaters
with an efficiency rating of 80% or greater. This means that if 10,000
BTUs of fuel energy are input to the unit, 8,000 BTUs are output.
Standard space heaters (not rated as high efficiency) have approximately
a 70% rating.
High efficiency units come in sizes starting at 11,000 BTU’s
and going up to 55,000 BTU’s. These heaters are electric ignition
and require 120 volts to operate.
